This is my - I don't know- fifth or sixth attempt at blogging. My last attempt was several years ago, before the necessity of earning a living began to press so heavily. It presses still, but I have become more skilled at maintaining what I often hear called work-life balance. In my case it means the living I earn comes more cheaply than before and that I consequently no longer have need of working every hour God gives.
Though labels are much-derided, they can be useful in conveying quite a lot of information in a short amount of space. I therefore confess to the following labels:

I intend to use this blog as a place to comment on things that interest me. Posts will be liberally flavored with attempts at sarcasm, humor, and straightforwardness.
